What is Two Painting Broads?

Two Painting Broads is a partnership of two friends who love to paint! We are an art studio that provides private and public painting parties for you and your friends, corporate events, children’s birthday parties, crafting events, couple events, Paint With Me!, Art Zone Kids! events, fundraisers, bridal/baby showers, bachelorette parties, and tailored events to meet your specifications. Painting parties for all occasions! We pair instructional painting with friends, food, and FUN! We can even bring the art studio to you! Enjoy a private painting party in your venue or in our studio. We host several adult painting parties a week in the studio in addition to weekly Wednesday night Art Zone Kids! events. We also host Paint with Me! parties for the littlest ones about one Monday morning and one Saturday morning per month. Occasionally we will even host an Open Studio where you can paint the piece of your choosing! There is something for everyone!

Where Are You Located?

We are located at 1 North Front Street in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania. We are on the corner of Front and Presqueisle Streets.

How Much Does It Cost?

A typical public painting party is $30 per person for 2 hours of instruction. If you’d like to use the studio for your own private party, the cost is $280 for up to 8 painters and $30 for each painter above that. We do have special discounted rates for seniors, scouts, and church groups. Just ask us for additional information on those. Most public kid events are $10 per painter.

Do You Do Birthday Parties for Kids?

We do!

Two Painting Broads loves to host birthday parties in our studio. Child Birthday parties are for children ages 15 and under. For an 8×10” canvas, the cost is $150 for up to 8 painters. Each painter above that is $15 each. Adult painters at a child party are $18 each above the base rate. This cost includes the use of our studio for 2.5 hours (including a 30 minute pre-party set-up time and the painting takes approximately an hour). Each half hour beyond 2.5 hours is $25. We’d be happy to bring the mobile studio to you at your venue/home for a $25 travel fee. If you’d like to upgrade your child’s party to the 11×14″ canvas, we can do that as well.

Young Adult birthday parties are for ages 16-18 years old and we use an 11×14″ canvas for $160 up to 8 painters. For 9 or more painters, the cost is $20 per person. Adult painters at a Young Adult party are $22 each above the base rate. This cost includes the use of our studio for 2.5 hours (including a 30 minute pre-party set-up time and the painting takes approximately an hour). Each half hour beyond 2.5 hours is $25. We’d be happy to bring the mobile studio to you at your venue/home for a $25 travel fee.

We do offer custom cupcakes that the attendees would decorate on a plastic artists’s palette for just $3 per cupcake. We also offer a custom personalized canvas board for the birthday boy/girl where his/her guests would sign in and leave messages. It’s a wonderful memento of this special day. The canvas board is $20.

You can choose a painting from our Facebook Gallery or website, or we can create a custom piece for you that reflects the interests of your group. A custom piece is an additional $25 charge.

How Much Experience Do I Need?

None. Seriously. We walk you step-by-step through the painting process.

Who Can Come?

Typically our evening painting parties cater to adults, but we can custom tailor a class for all ages, individuals, groups, clubs, and organizations. Host an event at our studio. Or we can come to you ($25 travel fee incurred), set up and clean up, and provide all your painting materials! It’s only $250 for up to 8 painters, each painter after that is $30.

What Do You Offer for Kids?

We have events for kids regularly at the studio. We offer painting, crafting, Back-to-School Craft Camp, a 5-evening Creative Arts Camp in the summer, and several other events tailored specifically for kids. These are usually $10-$25 per child to attend and if they can work independently, they are welcome to come without an adult.

Our regular Wednesday night Art Zone Kids! parties are done on 8×10″ canvases and are $10 per painter. We also offer something for the little ones one Saturday morning a month and one Monday morning a month at Paint With Me! These are also 8×10″ projects and are $10 per painter.

Can I Bring Food / Drink?

Yes! You are welcome to bring a snack or drink for yourself. Each artist is also welcome to bring a snack to share, pot-luck style, if you’d like.

Can I Bring Alcohol?

Our studio is a family friendly venue for all ages.  Due to our location and liability issues we cannot allow alcohol at our venue.  Alcohol at private venues is at the discretion of the host/hostess for the evening. You’ve probably heard of Sip ‘n Paint parties – just because we can’t offer alcohol at the studio doesn’t mean you can’t host your own! All you need is a space and we’ll bring the studio to you

What Does A Party Host / Hostess Have to Do?

Not much. We want to make your event as seamless and enjoyable as possible. Basically you are responsible for a $50 non-refundable deposit which is deducted from the total cost of the party, then invite your family/friends, make decisions about food/drink, work with us on choosing the painting for the evening, and accept payment from each attendee. We take care of everything else so that the night of the event all you need to do is show up and have a great time!

What is Your Cancellation Policy?

The $50 deposit that’s required for all events is non-refundable because we have to hold that date on our calendar and order supplies, etc. You can transfer it to another date if you cancel in writing at least 72 hours in advance. Cancellation of a private party after that time frame forfeits the deposit. If you’ve paid for a class online and you have to cancel, we do not offer refunds, but you can use that payment and apply it to a future class. We understand that things happen and do our best to offer a flexible cancellation policy in the hopes that our clients will respect our time as well and do their best to honor their reservation. Those clients that repeatedly do not honor their reservations will be required to pay ahead for all future events.

What Payment Options Do You Offer?

You can reserve your seat and pay on our website via PayPal or credit card. If you’d like to pay in person with cash, personal check or credit card then reserve your seat on our website and print the confirmation receipt to bring with you. We do accept personal checks and credit cards the night of the event – select the “Reserve a Seat/Pay at the Door” option. A $35 return fee is applicable to any check that is returned to us from the bank.

What Is Open Studio?

Our Open Studio nights are open to anyone who wants to paint a picture of their choosing or a previous craft we’ve done although we provide just minimal instruction on open studio nights. Canvases are offered at an a la carte price. These evenings provide an opportunity for you to be in the studio, create, independently paint one of our paintings or make a craft we’ve previously made. It’s a good time to do a piece that you missed on our calendar!

Do you require reservations for The Fire Zone?

No reservation is required during normal business hours. However, we do ask that you call ahead if you will have more than 4 people in your group.

Can I eat off of this? (The Fire Zone)

Yes! All our paints are non-toxic, lead free, and are food-safe. They are dishwasher safe as well.

Do you plan The Fire Zone parties?

The Fire Zone at Two Painting Broads Studio has great party packages for all ages.  Birthday Parties, Baby and Wedding Showers, Bachelorette Parties, and more.

How long until I can pick up my art? (The Fire Zone)

Turn-around time may vary related to volume and other restrictions.
